Located in the heart of Mayfair, one of London’s most prestigious members clubs are currently looking for a Pastry Sous Chef to come and join their team. This is an incredible opportunity to develop and work alongside one of London’s most renowned Executive Head Pastry Chefs. 

  About the role:

  • Assist the Head Pastry Chef in planning and managing the pastry department.
  • Prepare and oversee the production of a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and presentation in all pastry creations.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute new dessert menu items.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage food costs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
  • Comply with all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

About you

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef in a high-volume establishment.
  • A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating.
  • Creative and innovative with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and dessert concepts.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
